Has Anybody Clicked on that LOVE CRUSH thing that's popping up all the time here?

Comments

[this is good]
Yes it has popped up at the bottom of the page and I also have gotten emails. I throw them in spam. Vox needs to block these people.
emails!!! Wow -- I haven't gotten them -- yikes. If I start, I'll close my account. I hate that stuff.
EEEEEEyikes! How does it KNOW WHO YOU ARE?

*lol* It's total spam. If someone DOES have a crush on you, they should wrap themselves up in a bow and leave themselves on your doorstep. That way you'd be sure to know!
Yes!!! It's creepy either way -- either it's fake and just really really aggravation or it's real and what you said: EEEEEEyikes! How does it KNOW WHO YOU ARE? They do have our addresses, since we get our accounts on Vox with emails..........gah.

But all I did was the initial click. If I start getting emails as a result I'm going to be royally PISSED. And I'll be very very vocal about it, on the 23 blogs that I currently have. (they're not all active but they could be, very quickly).

I was tempted to click on it, but then I thought twice about it. Now I'm glad I didn't click on it. I hope if someone really does have a crush on you that they contact you and let you know about it.

I've been avoiding it ever since it turned up, knowing that I oughtn't go anywhere near it. But curiosity is soooooooooo powerful -- as the advertisers know. *sigh*

How does it KNOW WHO YOU ARE?

It "sees" your IP address. This is THE worst kind of popupannoyinghostagetaking ad, ad I'm REALLY PO'd at SixApart for letting this crew "advertise" here.... [sigh]

*shivers* that's just plain disgusting of them, IMHO.
Maybe I'll go buy GhostSurf- if they have it for Mac. I THINK it can set up one-time-only IP's or something..not sure.

I never click on any of them. I don't think I ever have, actually.
Ugh. I HATE that thing, too.
It is really creepy and really really rude.

I've clicked on two of them and both turned out to be good things-- last year -- not lately. I guess I was pushing my luck.
Yes! It's RUDE! good word!

I got one too but haven't touched it. Too paranoid! Has anyone notified Vox?

I bet the emails were generated by spambots - Six Apart/Vox HAS to get rid of these people!!!
You got an email?
Wow.
If I get one, I'm going to the feedback place and letting them know at Vox.
Time to let the folks at the top know. Yep
can't you just throw it in spam? then you won't get anymore
Yes, but the intrusion is scary -- I think so, anyway.
I've gotten it too. Two people have a crush on me in Tacoma. Yeah, right. If you clicked on it, good luck getting rid of it! The banner's moved from the side to the bottom. Pain in an ass advertising is what it is!
Oh that's just so creeeeeeeepy!!!!!!! *shivers*
it is. it's very intrusive.
Ugh..hateful thing. Somebody I know knows somebody who did click on it..its no good!
I only have one new crush. I'm feeling unloved! :(

But seriously, it is truly creepy that they practically know where I live! I much preferred the text ads that were based on key words in your blog - they were even kind of humorous.
Sadly, nobody has a crush on me. *sniff* Well, or if they did, they don't love me enough to get around my ad blocker. I didn't even know there were ads on Vox. Alas, I may never be loved. ;-)

Today my crush has a name! Her name is Kimberly. hee hee...

I had one of my many virus protectors pop up this morning with a 'warning' so I had to run a virus scan to make sure my system was okay. It is.

Note to self (and others): don't click on something unless you know it is from a trusted source. :)

You got a name? Wow! I think I got out before that happened...in fact, I don't see it all the time now, like I did. *whew* it was CREEPY!!
Ad Blocker???????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Yes! those text ads were funny and sometimes really interesting. Not that I clicked on them, either,,,,

I only have one new crush. I'm feeling unloved! :( Oh, that's all I had, too.
