Mmmm I love chicpeas. I love olive oil too although sweet sounds great right now! Field greens are my personal favorite, and edible flowers! ;)

I'm not a salad person, but that one doesn't look bad!

Mmmmm... we could be Salad Buddies!! I eat one every day too... and I made that very same combination the other day with one exception.. I add balsamic vinegar but it's sweetish. Love the chickpea / tomato combination.
Looks like an oil and vinegar-type dressing? Looks good; however, can I substitute the dressing for a side of 1,000 Island?

I'll take mine to-go, thanks :)

What a yum-looking combo! If I only I could do that everyday...

I bought some great salad stuff, but it seems this antibiotic is giving me heartburn, of all things, so the dressing would probably drive me crazy. My mom loved chickpeas like that; I mostly prefer them mashed into a dip of some kind.

The tomatoes look really good, were they?
A lot of antibiotics have that gastrointestinal side effect problem - I hope it eases for you, but it may not, until after the course of treatment.

That particular dressing is some kind of "Italian" one -- I'm just using it up. I don't like it at all. Normally I use sweet ones. And not much of it, since the flavors are always soooooooooooooo strong.

I love love love chick peas!. They're so good - my Mom used to make chick pea salad, with the whole chick peas, dill relish and green pepper, etc. Very tasty. Also another one, with mayonnaise, onion and lemon juice -- also delicious. But I love them in the salad like this - they give it a little more substance.

Those tomatoes are almost like "real" tomatoes! They were on sale at Acme -- 99 cents a pound-- still "on the vine" -- amazing. Not the cardboard kind we get all winter.
It really is good and I never tire of it.
But it does take prep time -- when I was still at work I used to make one and put it in a container the night before, and then take it to work in the morning. But I didn't have access to a frig so I ended up eating it at the morning coffee break.
Being able to eat it "fresh" is one of the few "perks" of being out of work!

hahah -- OK- what kind of dressing..?
Yes-- it's an "Italian" dressing from a bottle-- which I don't like; just using up one of the ones I have here to avoid throwing it out. Normally I use the sweet ones, and very very little -- the flavors are always so strong! I like to taste the actual salad.
Yay for salads!!!!! Aren't they wonderful?
Yes, chick peas and tomatoes are sooooo good!
I like to try different sweet dressings -- my current favorite is "Vidalia Sweet Onion" -- I think it's one of the Ken's line.
I think your mom's chickpea salads sound good; I sometimes have trouble with certain texture combinations, so I think it's them and the lettuce I wouldn't enjoy much, but my mom would have loved it.

I've been using this sesame ginger bottled dressing sometimes. I wonder if you'd like it? But I like to just do olive oil and vinegar, too. Some of the others like that creamy stuff, though.

I just realized the pharmacy only gave me 14 pills instead of 21. Not sure if they're the ones I should call.
